  1. Such a beautiful bird. In the 1970s when I was growing up, my parents had an Audubon print of an Oriole in the hallway. I have just Googled it and feel great seeing it again. Thank you for writing this fine Haiku.

    • My absolute pleasure! When I was growing up, we had a large book of Audubon prints on a bookshelf in our house. I spent may happy hours poring through it as a young child, and I do attribute much of my love of birds to the experience. The oriole is a stunner, isn’t it?

      • A stunner indeed. I think I learned much of what I know from natural history books that my mum used to get me for birthdays etc.
