Pulley stuck: inside
scurrying earwig-flurry
and one pluckless wasp.
Needless to say, plan “A” was
abandoned in a hurry.

Courage, open that umbrella and defy the scurriers!

The cord is trapped in the pulley mechanism and I’d have to get right inside the umbrella to reach up and release it. It’s a heavy beast too. I think I’ll wait for my non-phobic husband to deal with it.😉👍🏻

Having a Plan B (and C) is always prudent (not that I always remember)…and bugs can always derail my plan, especially wasps. I grew up with Yellow Jackets all around, needless to say there was a lot of need to have Plan Bs. 😉

I have a memoir posted on my other blog that you should read. If inclined, visit Chapter and Verse (link in sidebar) and search “What’s That Buzz”😂

You have created an image so familiar, when insects and bits drop out from an item not used in a while. Like watering cans used for the first time in Spring.

There have been some really windy days, so the umbrella has been standing on the deck, behind a chair, next to the railing to keep it from being blown over (again). It was a lovely calm and sunny day, but all for naught. 😢
