You are likely to
disagree, but I find this
season unpleasant.
Too many insects abound
as stifling heat surrounds us.

    that’s a trifecta right there. i would add hornets (and their creepy nests) and nothing like riding one’s bike through a thick cloud of gnats. oh yeah, and deer ticks, too. it’s a wonder i make it outside at all.
