*As an introvert, this is a highly stressful situation for me. they said they were bringing a pre-fab mantel and the job would take an hour. Instead, they’ve been building it on the spot, and i dont know when they are going to be done!

Stressful to have strangers in your home, introvert or not. Tell them if they don’t hurry, you will summon the blue jays. Or, you could bribe them with beer. 🙂

Very true. Funny though, when we released the beasts, our male Charlie, leaped onto the mantel and went a bit nuts–skipping back and forth on it a like school-kid. Our female Prudie couldn’t care less. I put her on the mantel and she jumped straight back down and left the room. Not two peas, these two.
