Yes, and up to this point I’d only seen her bright red mate. I was on the phone with Kevin at the time I saw her. I hung up on him, tore off to get the camera downstairs, and couldn’t believe she was gone when I shot back.
Such a familiar story. It happens to me when I work at home. I go to the kitchen to grab a coffee – see something beautiful outside, run to get the camera and it is goner. Often I leave the camera in the kitchen just in case.
Nice haiku. I’ve learned to accept that sort of occurrence; most of my good photos are accidents; when I see something I like, I don’t have my camera. I guess that’s why we have memories.
Thank you. When I ran my original blog back in 2007-2011, I posted many photos, but now I’m less inclined to do it. I just got a new camera, but being out and actually experiencing things without trying to “capture” them is more fun.
Arrg, that always happens. So annoying. Nice haiku.

I usually do that, but I had it downstairs to load to my computer. (Of course, I hadn’t done that either.)

I’ll let you know when she stops rocking back and forth and muttering unintelligibly. Let’s just say she appreciated it!
